Saturday night past in Belfast saw metal fans promised some unadulterated, brain smashing riffmania with Lucid Nightmare supporting the renowned folk, celtic and pagan metal band Waylander at The Pavilion - and with all bands on top form, the night soon turned into a cranium cracking metal behemoth.
Kicking off just after 10pm, Lucid Nightmare delivered 45 minutes of original, hardcore black and thrash metal songs that began with the almighty Dine Upon Divinity and ended with the vicious sounding Serpent's Son.
Lucid Nightmare once again proved they are a band worth watching for the future - lead singer Darren delivered some vein popping vocals (and expertly dealt with an unxpected stage trespasser) while ensuring the lads have a solid stage presence to front the band.
As usual, looking after the complex riffs and rythms which are fast becoming Lucid's difficult to imitate trademark were bassist Benny and lead guitarists Baz and Paul with drummer Moore putting the metal to the pedal.
Shout outs also to the mental crowd, led by legendary headbangers Ryan, Zack, OD, Joe, Aidy and the gurls.
Another unmissable evening for metal fans and hopefully the lads will be back playing in Belfast again soon - watch this space!!
